With a sharp scalpel and boundless patience, Lopez processes these raw materials into elaborate and suspenseful panoramas – worlds within worlds, where unlikely sonic phenomena generate unfamiliar perceptual experiences.
Internationally recognized as one of the main figures in the realms of experimental music and audio art, Lopez also holds a PhD Ecosystems Biologist.
Over the past forty years he has realized hundreds of concerts / live performances, projects with environmental recordings, field research, and sound installations, in over seventy countries.
