Arachnophonia

Arachnophonia produces two types of hybrids, both pay homage to David Cronenberg’s films (mainly Crash and The Fly):
The first is composed of windshield wiper motors removed from dismantled cars, fused together to create a mechanical spider that has lost the ability to move, which screeches, growls, and swings its arms everywhere as though to capture an elusive prey. The second fuses together man and a windshield wiper mechanism to create a half-human, half-mechanical spider hybrid, which explores its own freedom of movement and expression through the exhibition and in in relation to the other spider.
