Musrara Residency Program- Projects’ Introduction

25.5.2022

- 14:00

Musrara School, with the support of the Cultural Council of Mifal Ha’Pais, has held a residency program for artists in Musrara in recent months.

To mark the anniversary of the struggle and protest of the Israeli “Black Panthers” movement which emerged from the place and space in which the school operates, and in the spirit for social, cultural and economic equality through independent personal expression, Musrara selected artists reflect in their work protest, with emphasis on public-private relations’ dealing with  questions concerning the perception of the individual in the contexts of social norms – a protest that is not necessarily political in the topical sense, but pulses the freedom of artistic expression and gives artists space for independent and beating expression.

The artists selected for the program who created works originating from the location, along with the locals: Stav Porges, Rotem Volk, Matan Daskal and Daniel Grossman (Castle in Time Orchestra).

In this meeting, which is open to the general public, the artists will discuss their research and work process and show some products.
