“We Drift Like Troubled Water” is an experimental documentary focusing on the story of Colonel Ilan Ramon – the first Israeli astronaut to ever go to space, and the premonitions leading to the tragic disaster in February 2003, in which the Columbia space shuttle crashed upon reentering Earth’s atmosphere after 16 mission days, killing all 7 crew members. Only a year after the incident, NASA has determined that a large piece of foam insulation, which doomed the spacecraft, broke off from the fuel tank at liftoff, leaving the craft unfit for re-entry.
