Modern Ensemble
The Modern Ensemble, as the name implies, works with modern methods of music development, note reading, melody and harmony according to the modern-classic tradition. The ensemble aims to enable students to work in the ensemble as an artist, to learn how to communicate their needs to the group, to control it and to develop in it and with it. The performance will include a few pieces to show the work they have done over the year.
Instructed by Dan Weinstein
The Modern ensemble is joining the students of the New Media department guided by Vera Korman, for an audio visual conversation exploring the bridges between sound and image, the abstract and the concrete.
“The Great Learning” by Cornelius Cardew is a musical social experiment - an interpretation of a musical score, which is open to personal interpretation and at the same time, is meticulous.
